Change The Linksys Password And Make The Network Secure

After the Linksys setup, it is necessary to change its password so that there will be no unauthorized users on it. As the network password is case-sensitive, it can be easy to guess for external users. Generally, the default password of Linksys devices is the admin that you can get from the manual setup guide. So, once you are done with the configuration process, make some changes to the network’s advanced settings. Such as selecting the latest and safer security encryption WPA2 or WPA3 if your product supports that.

To do this, go to the Linksys web management portal after the Linksys Extender Login. Use the default password if you have not changed that yet and access the wireless settings of the extender. Click on the Security option and choose the powerful security type and also click on the Save button. Later, change the password and set a new one which must be strong enough. However, to make that hard to guess, you must add some numeric, upper/lower-case, and capital letters into it. Don’t prefer to insert your personal information into the new password which might make it easily accessible for guest users.
