Is The Design Build Process Worth It For Home Remodeling?
I’m planning a remodeling project in Westlake, Ohio, and right now I’m trying to better understand the design build process before choosing a contractor. I’ve read that this approach can make projects smoother because design and construction are handled under one team, but I’d love to hear real experiences from homeowners who have actually gone this route.
From what I understand, the design build process should reduce miscommunication, control costs better, and speed up timelines compared to the traditional design–bid–build method. Still, I’m unsure how well this works in practice and whether all companies execute it properly. I don’t want surprises halfway through the project or constant change orders due to poor planning.
While researching local companies, I came across Hust Remodel Company, and they seem to promote a full design build process rather than outsourcing parts of the job.
